Bid Title: RFP - Water Treatment Plant - Haul Services
Category: Other Professional Services & Non Design Consultants
Status: Awarded
Bid Recipient: City of Grants Pass Administration - City Recorder

The City of Grants Pass Water Treatment Plant (WTP) is seeking a contractor to provide hauling services for FY’20-22 (July 2019 – June 2022). WTP solids will be hauled from the plant and the “old log pond site” (821 SE M Street and 820 SE M Street respectively) to the Redwood pump station property (4960 Leonard Road). A suggested haul route and approximate mileages are provided on the map included with the RFP.

Proposals must include all equipment and labor needed to load and transport approximately 900 cubic yards of material (approximately 825 wet tons) from the WTP and 1,000 cubic yards of material (approximately 950 wet tons) from the settling pond site to the Leonard Road location. Hauling events will occur 2 to 3 times per year and must be completed within 20 working days of notice from the WTP Superintendent. Each hauling event will transport between 200 and 1,200 cubic yards of material. Proposals must also include hauling and disposal of refuse at the completion of each hauling event. Refuse is primarily the fabric bags used for dewatering of the solids and small quantities of plastic sheeting.

Agreement is to be based upon the combined cost of hauling an estimated 1,900 cubic yards of bagged material annually, disposal of the refuse at a per cubic yard price and mobilization fees. Actual volume to be hauled will be measured by the Contractor and WTP Superintendent prior to each hauling event.
