[ARCHIVED] Accepting applications for Historical Buildings and Sites Commission

Committees Get Involved

Applications are being accepted for one position on the Historical Buildings and Sites Commission. This term expires May 30, 2023.

The committee’s purpose is to review proposed alterations to any Historic District or designated structure in the Urban Growth Boundary; to promote the community historic preservation; to advise other interested agencies on matters related to historic preservation; and to identify areas of archeological significance and buildings of historic or archeological significance.  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and be a resident of the City of Grants Pass.  

This position is a citizen at large.

Applications are available at the City Administration Office, 101 N.W. A Street, or online at www.grantspassoregon.gov/committee-application. Applications must be received no later than 5 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2021. Applications will be reviewed by the commission Thursday, December 9, 2021. Applicants will be interviewed by the Council at the Council Workshop Monday, December 13, 2021. Appointments will be made by the Council at the City Council meeting on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.
