Survey on Utilizing American Rescue Plan Funds

The City of Grants Pass will receive $9.37 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds.

The funds must be spent or allocated by 2024 to respond to immediate public health and financial stability needs, support households, workers and business that were hit hardest by the pandemic.

The funds are also intended to be used to make strategic long-term infrastructure investments for a strong economic and equitable recovery. For more information about the ARPA program, please visit U.S. Treasury at:

The City is allocating $3 million of the $9.37 million to the Water Capital Fund which will help to offset currently scheduled water rate increases. Details on the long-term economic benefits of using this portion of funds on the water treatment plant can be found on the American Rescue Plan Act page.

The City is inviting all households and businesses to take a survey asking you to share your ideas and priorities for the remaining funds 6.37 million of ARPA funds. This week each household and business will be sent a letter with a unique code to access the survey online. The survey will close October 22, 2021.
