GRANTS PASS – Applications are being accepted for two positions on the City of Grants Pass Housing Advisory Committee (HAC) due to expiring terms. These are three-year appointments.
The HAC explores opportunities to facilitate the provision of housing for all income levels, and it makes recommendations to the city council. It also promotes public awareness of housing resources and promotes public participation in identifying and addressing housing issues and needs. The city council may authorize HAC to conduct those public hearings specified in the city’s Community Development Block Grant citizen participation plan, which are not reserved to the city council for decision-making.
There are special qualifications for these positions. One must be filled by a representative from a financial institution or lender and one must be filled by a representative who is a renter in the low-to-moderate income category (LMI).
Applications are available at the City Administration Office, 101 N.W. A St., or online HERE. Applications must be received no later than 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13. Applications will be reviewed by the committee Friday, Aug. 20. Appointments will be made by the city council at their meeting Wednesday, Sept. 1.
