GRANTS PASS – The City of Grants Pass Customer Service and Utility Billing Department’s Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system will come completely online by June 30. Utility customers are encouraged to update their information in the system in case of the need for notification.
IVR systems are designed to rout customer calls to the correct person or department, and generally provide automated call assistance. They can also be used to take payments over the phone and provide important additional information to customers when necessary.
“The implementation of this system will allow us to get important notices to customers via a calling campaign,” said Customer Service Supervisor Kimberly Gasperson.
“Please make sure that your information is up to date so that should we need to notify you the system will have the correct contact information,” she said.
