This position is responsible for the maintenance and management of City-owned buildings, grounds and properties. The responsibilities include administration of construction and repair contracts, management of rentals of City property and oversight of City Maintenance.
Essential duties include managing maintenance, security, and emergency preparedness, property management, rentals and surplus property management activities, performance of maintenance tasks, overseeing construction, repairs, janitorial, security, and temporary labor contracts of City properties. This position oversees downtown activities, building maintenance and property improvements and supervises contractors and staff. Incumbents will perform the full range of supervisory duties including directing work, training and coaching, discipline, and performance evaluations of subordinates.
