We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Water Treatment team, someone that recognizes the importance of quality drinking water, maintenance of the plant, and looking to the future. Placement will depend on incumbents qualifications, skills and experience.
Our Water Treatment Program consists of: 20 MGD conventional surface water treatment plant, 13 remote booster pump stations and 8 reservoir sites and a 1.5 acre solids handling pond.
The primary duties of this position are performing all tasks relating to the daily operations and maintenance of the water treatment plant, pump stations and reservoirs. In addition, treatment plant specialists perform preventative maintenance, light construction, sampling and analyzing processes to determine regulatory compliance, compiling computer based data and files, interpreting regulations and performing customer service.
This position is covered in the Teamster bargaining unit and incumbents must live within a 30 minute drive of the regularly assigned work site.
