Applications are still being accepted for a position on the Committee on Public Art due to a resignation. The term expires January 1, 2023.
The purpose of this committee is to provide the Grants Pass City Council with information pertaining to public art; create opportunities for the placement of art in public locations; and to promote collaboration between city departments, artists, architects, developers and property owners.
There are no mandatory membership categories. Representatives will generally represent visual arts, performing arts and art education fields.
You may obtain an application at the City Administration Office, 101 N.W. A Street, or online at www.grantspassoregon.gov/committee-application. Applications must be received no later than 5 p.m., Thursday, November 7, 2019. The committee will review applications on Tuesday, November 12, 2019. Appointments will be made by the Council at the City Council meeting on Wednesday, November 20, 2019.
