The City of Grants Pass is appointing Warren Hensman as Public Safety Director. Mr. Hensman’s first day will be February 11, 2019. The position became open with the announcement of current Public Safety Director Bill Landis’s retirement.
Mr. Hensman is currently serving as the City of Ashland’s Deputy Police Chief. Hensman has served the City of Ashland since 2010, and has been Deputy Police Chief since January 2015. Prior to coming to Ashland, he was a detective and patrol officer for the Las Vegas, Nevada, Metropolitan Police Department for nine years. Mr. Hensman was also a patrol officer for the City of Alpharetta, Georgia, earlier in his career. He has a master’s degree in Justice Management from the University of Nevada, a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration in Law Enforcement from Nevada State College, and an associate degree in Criminal Justice from Community College of Southern Nevada.
