[ARCHIVED] Public Forum and Survey to Discuss Parks Projects

The City of Grants Pass wants to hear from you! 

It’s time to move forward with plans for a park on the north end of town. The City owns approximately 2 acres of land in the Beacon/Hillcrest area and there are several champions who would like to establish a park to serve this area. What amenities would the neighborhood like to see? There have been suggestions of a dog park, walking trails and a picnic area. How would the community access the park? The County and City are working on plans to improve the streets in that area. Please join us and give us your suggestions and ideas.

The City is also seeking input for a Community Building in Riverside Park. This year we celebrated the opening of the Spray Park and recently had a ribbon cutting for the Pavilion that will host a variety of events such as Boatnik, Back to the 50’s and concerts. Now it’s time to complete the vision by adding a Community Building for gatherings, weddings and other special occasions.

The City plans to develop a “Forest Stewardship and Recreational Use Plan” for the Dollar Mountain Area and would appreciate hearing input from the public about the project. There are two easy ways to participate:
