[ARCHIVED] Job Opportunity: Crime Analyst

We are looking to hire a Crime Analyst for our Department of Public Safety that has a strong background in data analysis and criminal justice. The City seeks a positive role model who is ethical, supportive to Council Goals, innovative, is receptive to ideas and opinions, and focuses on the betterment of the individual, organization, and community.

 

This position consists of  independently analyzing, evaluating, correlating, and disseminating crime data, crime  reports, and  other criminal intelligence information. By utilizing mapping   programs, intelligence software, and  statistical information, you will assist officers by directing them to the highest crime areas within their beats, identifying crime trends and patterns and complete all intra and outer agency data requests.


Incentives Available:

  • Relocation Allowance- Up to $1500 to relocate to Southern Oregon. Approved expenses must be documented per City policy.
  • Signing Bonus- $1,000 at time of hire with 5 or more years of additional related experience.
  • Step at Hire and at completion of 12 month trial service- Depends on years of additional related experience. Please contact the Human Resources department for more information.
