Performance Audit, Visioning & Enhancement Committee

Purpose

The Performance Audit, Visioning and Enhancement (PAVE) Committee of the City of Grants Pass is established for the purpose of promoting excellence in the City of Grants Pass by providing oversight and recommendations for Internal and External Audits and Program Assessments with accompanying plans for improvement. The duties of the PAVE Committee include:

  • Review and provide input to the City Council on the annual risk assessment and internal audit plans.
  • Review and recommend contracts for performance engagements.
  • Provide input on findings and strategic plans prepared by the contractors to the City Council

Members

The PAVE Committee consists of 6 (plus 2) members, serving staggered 2-year terms, consisting of:

  • 4 elected officials (Mayor & Council)
  • 2 citizen representatives with financial and/or operational audit experience who reside in the city
  • 2 representatives with special expertise in the field or program being reviewed when appropriate (term lasts for the specific appraisal and creation of associated plan)

The City Manager will appoint city staff members from the appropriate departments involved in the performance review. The current committee members are:

Committee Purpose

Eight members in staggered two year terms. Two Council appointees will be only for the term of the specific appraisal and its associated plan

  • Four elected officials.
  • Two citizen representatives with real estate and/or property management experience.
  • Two citizens at large.

    Open Positions

    Apply for Parks Advisory Committee - Applications are being accepted for four positions.  Special qualification: Individuals with interest or experience representing athletic leagues, individuals knowledgeable in natural resource preservation, people involved with recurring park events, frequent park users, and individuals who use park family play friendly facilities. Members should live within the city limits.  Fill out and submit online by July 7, 2023

    Apply for Housing Advisory Committee - Applications are being accepted for two positions.  Special qualification: A representative from an organization that develops and/or operates housing, transitional housing, short-term housing, or shelter for special needs (e.g., Options, OnTrack, Kairos, Women’s Crisis Support Team, Hearts With A Mission, Gospel Rescue Mission, etc.) and one representative who is a residential developer. Fill out and submit online by August 11, 2023
