COMMENTS Large lemon-scented creamy white flowers appear in spring. Semi-evergreen leaves are bright green above and silver below. Does well in saturated soils, like those in rain gardens. Unlike other magnolias, has shown drought and some flooded soil tolerance, though inundated soils are not recommended for planting this tree. This tree does well in full sun or heavy shade. Select a cultivar that does not grow taller than 30 feet, otherwise do not plant under high voltage power lines. Features: evergreen, flowers. Full sun to partial shade. Wet soil tolerant.
