COMMENTS Faster growing oak. Very drought tolerant. Brown leaves may take awhile before dropping in the fall or winter (typical of other oaks like pin and scarlet as well). OSU: "Best in moist, well-drained, rich, acid soils, but tolerates drier soils and city conditions. Reportedly easy to grow." Features: wildlife. Full sun.
