COMMENTS Long clusters of yellow flowers bloom in mid-summer and form lantern-like seed capsules. Leaves change from red-copper in spring to green in summer and yellow-orange in fall. A tolerant tree of many soil conditions, but requires proper drainage. 'Fastigiata' is a narrow cultivar for areas with horizontal growing constraints. Can only be in parking lots if there are overhead high voltage power lines. Arbor Day Foundation: "The tree attracts bees." Features: flowers, fall color unique bark . Full sun.
