Third-grade students from Fruitdale Elementary School gathered at Fruitdale Park, on April 17, 2023, to plant a tree during the City’s annual Arbor Day celebration. This is the City’s 35th year as a Tree City USA, as certified by the Arbor Day Foundation. The celebration is a way to demonstrate the City of Grant Pass’ commitment to valuing trees and the practical ways they benefit our community.
Councilor Valerie Lovelace and Parks staff were on hand to assist in the planting after brief remarks from James Pasley, the City’s Urban Forester.
