Dog Park Rules

There are three dog parks in the City of Grants Pass: Gilbert Creek Park, Redwood Park, and Greenwood Dog Park. Two are within established parks, and one is exclusively a dog park. These dog parks are open from 7 a.m. to dusk. Each is closed for maintenance each week for the specified period.

The following rules apply in our dog parks.

  • Dogs in season or displaying signs of illness are not allowed.
  • Dogs must be licensed and vaccinated with tags displayed.
  • Dogs must be supervised and under voice control of the owner at all times.
  • Dogs showing signs of aggression must be leashed and removed from the park.
  • No more than two dogs per person are allowed on any single visit.

  • For the safety of children, please do not bring children under the age of 12 into the dog park.
  • Owners must collect and dispose of all waste.
  • Smoking, eating or glass containers are prohibited in the Dog Park.
