CDBG Weatherization/Rehabilitation Program

The City of Grants Pass, through its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), began its new Weatherization/Rehabilitation program in October 2022, offering low-income homeowners residing within the city an opportunity to apply for CDBG grants to help them with accessibility, weatherization repairs, or rehabilitation of their homes.

The city offered this program again for the 2023 program year with an open enrollment period which is now CLOSED. It was offered for city residents ONLY and only for owner-occupied stick-built homes. No mobile homes or manufactured homes were eligible. No rentals were eligible for the 2023 program year.

The CDBG program allocates funds each year for these types of projects based on the annual award the city receives from the U.S. Housing and Urban Development Agency. The funds are limited, applications must meet the income level, and not all repairs are eligible.

Application packets were distributed around the city and were provided at the Community Development Department located at 101 NW A Street, Suite 202. The application period began September 1, 2023 and ended September 29, 2023. The FAQs of the program are provided below for future program years.
