On Monday, April 7, the Grants Pass City Council adopted the COVID-19 Emergency Grants Assistance and Recovery Program to provide immediate funds to small local business owners to cover ongoing expenses during the State "Stay at Home, Save Lives" mandate
It is the intent of the City to assist and support the small businesses impacted by the current pandemic and to help them recover, flourish and remain in Grants Pass. By offering this unique grant program, the City is recognizing the importance of our small businesses and their impact to the stability and vitality of our community.
This is a first come, first served grant program due to limited funding availability
The purpose of the COVID-19 Emergency Grant Assistance and Recovery Program is to provide immediate funds to allow small businesses to continue operations, to cover ongoing expenses while “non-essential” businesses are closed, and to be able to provide funding for the closed businesses to re-start operations as soon as the “Stay Home, Save Lives” restrictions have been lifted. Non-essential businesses include but are not limited to: food and drink establishments, arcades, art galleries, barber shops and hair salons, bowling alleys, gyms and fitness studios, furniture stores, jewelry shops and boutiques, medical spas, facial spas, day spas, non-medical massage therapy services, museums, nail and tanning salons, theaters, yoga studios, small medical offices, education and daycare facilities, and businesses that rely on larger gatherings of people.
National chains and franchises are not eligible for this grant assistance.
