In December 2006 an Urban Growth Boundary Expansion Steering Committee was formed to ensure diverse community interests are represented in the evaluation of the urban growth boundary. The steering committee has met approximately every 4-6 weeks during the planning process. The committee provides input, feedback, and recommendations on the work products developed during the planning process. The input will be provided to the consultants and staff to develop and refine work products, which will be submitted to the Planning Commission and City Council for adoption.
There are 17 voting and 5 non-voting liaison/staff members on the committee, which will function until UGB plan amendments are adopted. Criteria for membership and those appointed to the committee are as follows:
