Grants Pass is a council-manager form of government. The Mayor and Councilors volunteer their time to serve our community. Elected by city residents, they serve their respective wards.

Council Chambers at 6:00 p.m.

Eight Councilors represent four wards and are elected at large to four-year terms of office. The Council oversees city government and employs a City Manager who is in charge of the city staff and departments.
Meetings and Workshops
Council Meetings and Workshops are open to the public and meet on a regular basis. Check the Meetings Calendar for specifics.
Meeting agendas for Council Meetings will be updated on the Friday before each Council Meeting. Check City Council Agendas and Minutes for agendas and packets for upcoming meetings and approved minutes of past meetings.
Council Workshops are informal, varying from 75 to 90 minutes in duration, and comprise of staff presentations covering a specific subject, agenda review, or other matters for which Council has requested information.
