Formerly the Utilities Department, we have just recently become the Public Works Department by adding the Streets and Drainage divisions. Our divisions consist of Water Treatment, Water Distribution, Wastewater Restoration, Wastewater Collection, JO-GRO™, and Streets and Drainage. These divisions are unique but share one goal - to allow people to live together in a healthy, environmentally-safe manner.
The department's employees are responsible for providing the community with Water, Wastewater systems and quality JO-GRO™ co-compost material, as well as maintaining approximately 100 miles of streets and right-of-ways, and the surface and subsurface storm drain systems.
Any questions regarding Public Works, or the Solid Waste Agency, please contact Public Works at 541-471-2650 or email ckight@grantspassoregon.gov.
