Increased building in hillside areas has created a need for mapped areas for slope. This map will show all areas within the City having 15% to 25% slope, and greater than > 25% slope.

   The City of Grants Pass creates maps using a Geographic Information System (GIS) program.

   You are able to download the current city GIS map by installing ArcReader from ESRI

  • Download and install ArcReader from ESRI.
  • Select the map and save the zipped data package to your computer.
  • Unzip (extract files) contents of the zipped file using Windows XP or WinZip.
  • The zipped data package will have two folders. One folder will contain all the data, the other folder contains the .pmf file.
  • Open the .pmf file with ArcReader.
