Beginning April 2010, contractors performing renovation on homes, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978 must be certified and follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination.
In 2002, the city developed a Water Management and Conservation Plan. This plan was developed to identify water supply and demand issues facing the City of Grants Pass, and to develop reasonable strategies to resolving these issues. In addition, this plan serves as a guide for the city's water management policies.
On May 20, 2009 the Grants Pass City Council adopted Ordinance 5489 amending Section 25.031 of the Development Code to allow pervious surfacing materials to be used in parking and vehicle maneuvering areas.
