Significant Tree Registry

The City of Grants Pass has a Significant Tree Registry that gives recognition to home and business owners that retain trees of interest on their property. Significant trees are trees that have stateliness, beauty, rarity, good structure or historical connection to a person, place or event.

Nominated by members of the Urban Tree Advisory Committee, Significant Tree Awards are given annually at the Arbor Week Celebration held by the city during the 1st full week of April. Grants Pass has been a Tree City USA for 26 years, thanks to property owners who cherish and protect our urban forest

If you would like more information about the Significant Tree Program, or are interested in having an Urban Tree Advisory Committee member contact you about measuring your tree and finding out its history, please call the city Parks Department at 541-450-6060, extension 6160 and ask for a tree committee member to contact you.
